Your journey begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's famous northern safari circuit, before travelling to Tarangire National Park, a spectacular wilderness renowned for its ancient baobab trees, seasonal river and one of East Africa's largest elephant populations. Two full days in Tarangire provide ample time to explore its diverse habitats and discover the remarkable variety of wildlife that thrives along the Tarangire River, including lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and hundreds of bird species.

From Tarangire, continue to the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, where you'll spend the night before descending into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater is one of Africa's finest wildlife destinations and offers one of the continent's best opportunities to encounter the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, within a single game drive.

The adventure continues into the legendary Serengeti National Park, where two full days are dedicated to exploring the wildlife-rich Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley). This region is famous for its resident predator populations, exceptional year-round game viewing and, during the appropriate season, the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Optional experiences such as a sunrise hot air balloon safari provide an unforgettable perspective of the endless plains before another day of expertly guided wildlife viewing.

Throughout your journey, you'll travel with your own professional private safari guide, allowing each day to be tailored to your interests, whether that's tracking predators, photographing wildlife, observing birdlife or simply spending more time watching unforgettable animal encounters unfold. Carefully selected lodges and authentic tented camps ensure every evening is as memorable as the day's adventures, combining genuine safari atmosphere with warm Tanzanian hospitality.

Ideal for couples, families and first-time visitors alike, this itinerary offers the perfect balance of wildlife, comfort and discovery. Day2 Arusha National Park – Walking Safari & Game Drives Arusha National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, meet your private safari guide and travel a short distance to Arusha National Park, a hidden gem nestled beneath the slopes of Mount Meru. Although one of Tanzania's smaller national parks, its remarkable diversity of landscapes, forests, lakes and open grasslands makes it the perfect introduction to your safari adventure.

Begin the day with a guided walking safari, accompanied by an armed National Park ranger, offering a completely different perspective of the African wilderness. Walking through open plains and acacia woodland, you'll have the opportunity to observe giraffes, buffalo, zebras, warthogs and a variety of antelope on foot while learning about the park's unique flora, animal tracks and ecosystems—an unforgettable experience that few safari destinations can offer.

Following lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive exploring the park's diverse habitats, from the lush montane forests inhabited by the striking black-and-white colobus monkeys to the tranquil Momella Lakes, often home to flamingos and an abundance of birdlife. Weather permitting, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, creating exceptional photographic opportunities throughout the day.

Return to your lodge in Arusha during the late afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy dinner while reflecting on your first day immersed in Tanzania's extraordinary natural beauty.

Day3 Arusha - Tarangire National Park Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and journey south to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2–2.5 hours), where your classic Tanzania safari continues in one of the country's most wildlife-rich ecosystems. Named after the life-giving Tarangire River, the park is famous for its vast elephant herds, majestic baobab trees and exceptional concentration of wildlife, particularly during the dry season when animals gather along the river in search of water.

Upon entering the park, enjoy an exciting game drive through a landscape of rolling savannah, ancient baobabs, acacia woodland and seasonal wetlands. Keep watch for large family groups of elephants, graceful giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and a variety of antelope, while predators such as lions and leopards are often seen resting beneath the trees or stalking prey across the plains. Tarangire is also regarded as one of Tanzania's finest birding destinations, with more than 500 recorded bird species adding colour and life to every safari.

Pause for a scenic picnic lunch overlooking the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive, as your private guide follows wildlife movements and shares fascinating insights into the park's unique ecology.
