Sametu

Serengeti Sametu Camp is a luxury tented safari retreat situated in a secluded area on the eastern edge of Central Serengeti, close to the Ngarenanyuki River. Surrounded by sweeping savannah and abundant wildlife, the camp provides an intimate wilderness experience away from some of the busier areas of the park.

Accommodation is provided in spacious safari suites designed to maximise comfort, privacy and views of the surrounding Serengeti plains. The suites feature comfortable sleeping and sitting areas, private en-suite bathrooms and furnished verandas overlooking the wilderness. Sametu's location is one of its strongest features. The surrounding Central Serengeti ecosystem supports excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year, with opportunities to encounter resident wildebeest, zebra, elephants, antelope and predators. Its position also provides access to the Great Migration when the herds move through this part of the ecosystem.

Guests can complement traditional game drives with experiences such as hot-air balloon safaris, bush dining, sundowners and cultural visits.
