Marera valley

Marera Valley Lodge is an elegant countryside property located on the outskirts of Karatu, close to the village of Rhotia. Surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens and overlooking the surrounding valley and hills, the lodge offers a peaceful environment for travellers exploring Tanzania's northern safari circuit.

Accommodation is provided in 18 spacious cottages positioned throughout the gardens. Rooms can be configured with king or twin beds and feature mosquito netting, a dressing area, fireplace and a large private bathroom with shower. Each room also has its own veranda, providing a quiet place to relax and enjoy views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Triple accommodation can be arranged, while selected connecting rooms can be used for families.

The main lodge building provides spacious indoor and outdoor areas, including a reception, lounge, bar and restaurant. Guests can enjoy meals in the dining room or relax on the veranda overlooking the grounds. A complimentary tea and coffee station and Wi-Fi are also available.
