Country Lodge Karatu is a charming countryside property located on the outskirts of Karatu, midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Set within five acres of landscaped gardens surrounded by the rolling highlands, the lodge offers a peaceful and comfortable setting for travellers exploring Tanzania's northern safari circuit.

Accommodation consists of 24 en-suite rooms arranged within 12 double cottages around the gardens and swimming pool. Rooms are simply and tastefully furnished, with king or twin beds, mosquito nets, a sitting area, writing desk and private veranda overlooking the gardens. Each room also features a private bathroom finished with local stone and a fireplace that can be lit on request during cooler highland evenings. Triple accommodation is available on request.

The main lodge provides a restaurant, bar and comfortable lounge with a fireplace, as well as outdoor seating and dining areas overlooking the gardens. Guests can relax beside the swimming pool, enjoy a massage or spend time watching the abundant birdlife found throughout the grounds. Wi-Fi is available in the common areas.
