Baghayo garden suite

Baghayo Garden Suites is a peaceful family-owned retreat located on the edge of Karatu, set within five acres of a working coffee estate that has been cared for by the Baghayo family for three generations. Surrounded by gardens, farmland and coffee plantations, the property combines traditional Tanzanian hospitality with a relaxed countryside atmosphere.

Accommodation is provided in spacious suites designed using natural materials such as wood and brick. Each suite includes a separate bedroom and living area, an en-suite bathroom and a private porch overlooking the surrounding landscape. Living areas feature comfortable seating and a working fireplace, while bedrooms can be configured with twin or king beds. Family accommodation with flexible sleeping arrangements and adjoining rooms is also available.

The lodge's extensive gardens contain fruit trees, herbs and vegetables, while its working farm plays an important role in the dining experience. Fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and coffee are grown on the property, with additional ingredients including milk, eggs and honey sourced from the nearby farm. This supports Baghayo's fresh, farm to table approach to meals.
